One of the 2012 holiday season’s top gifts was the iPhone 5. It has some wonderful capabilities, but there are many tricks and functions that many owners might not know about. Gadget insurance brand, Protect Your Bubble, takes a look at these features (Source: Digital Trends).
People might not know that it’s possible to “train” Siri. How is this done? It’s actually quite simple. In order to activate Siri, just hold down the home button. Then iPhone owners can tell Siri things like, “Jessica is my sister,” or “I have art lessons every Wednesday at 7p.” In addition, it’s easy to post social media messages, dictate text messages and emails, choose a song to listen to and more.
It’s possible to access the camera function directly from the lock screen. It’s simple: just slide the camera icon up. Also, the iPhone 5 features the new Panorama camera setting (located under Options). Simply focus where the image should begin and keep a steady hand and pan over to capture the image.
In a meeting or need to take a nap? It’s possible to set a “Do Not Disturb” on the device. Access this by going to settings and turn on the function. Once set, incoming calls, notifications and messages will not disturb you, but will be stored for later.
There’s an easy way to access emoticons on the iPhone 5. Just go to: Settings > General > Keyboard > Keyboard (yes, again) > and then scroll down and tap “Emoji.” Have fun texting!
These functions are useful, unless the iPhone 5 is lost or broken. ProtectYourBubble.com offers iPhone insurance and coverage includes loss, theft, accidents and damage and provides replacement devices in 24 hours. For more information, visit ProtectYourBubble.com.
