Gadget insurance brand tells consumers what they might see in the upcoming Samsung S4 release

Android fans who are anxiously awaiting the newest incarnation from Samsung, the Galaxy S4 may not have to wait much longer. In fact, according to the rumors and news feed, it could be as soon as next week. Protect Your Bubble, smartphone insurance brand, takes a quick look at a few of the rumors about the new phone.

Calculations, based on many other releases for smartphone products, seem to point to a middle of the month release, with the 14th of March being a strong possibility. CES and MWC, two greats in the cell phone trade show industry say the BlackBerry 10 and the HTC One have already made some big waves in the phone community, so Samsung is holding back as much as they can. Those who are in the market for a new phone recognize Samsung's products and the strength of the brand.

The size of the display speaks about the power of the phone in today's market, and the 5-inch screen seems to be more and more the standard. A 1080P and a 5-inch display seems to be the standard on the flagship phones from the major players in the cell phone market. A 4.99-inch 1080p display from Samsung was seen at CES. Most agree this will be the display for the S4.

An eight-core processor is also a strong rumor, with the Exynos 5 Octa as the possible choice. The competition is currently running quad-core, and the eight-core run twice as fast without pulling too much battery life. Necessary in a smartphone? Quite possibly not, because leaked screenshots have a 1.8GHz quad-core running the S4.

The spec sheets seem to be in full agreement on the camera, and that is an 8 MP camera as the standard. While the 13MP camera was rumored, this has proven to be a rumor for the most part. The 8MP will be drastically improved with a 2MP front-facing camera for the S4.

What about a microSD card slot? Assertions are leaning to various versions from 16GB to 128GB, but all with no microSD slot. This will fatten the wallets of Samsung but may cost them potential customers as well. The battery will likely be a 2600mAh, a strong step up from the 1800-2200mAh battery. Battery size is a tradeoff, since the more svelte the phone the better this day and age and a large batter does not yield itself to small phones.

The newest trend in TV is virtual remote controls, where a user needs to only to wave a hand to change volume or channel. Navigate the phone without touching the screen is a strong potential, as is the wireless charging. NFC support is strong with the S4 since there is a deal with Samsung and Visa over payWave app for payments. Visa made it clear that payWave would appear on the “next generation” of Samsung devices, although the S4 was not mentioned specifically.

The Home button is sometimes in artist rendering and sometimes is not; photographs are murky on the subject as well. The legal feud with Apple may have something to do with a Home button, but until the phone hits markets, we will have to wait and see. The plastic and polycarbonate body will likely remain, while other premium phones use aluminum. Manufacturability and durability were concerns of Y.H. Lee, executive vice president of Samsung's mobile arm.

Regardless of all the rumors, it’s safe to assume that this new smartphone will be popular, pricey and a target for thieves. Protect Your Bubble will provide Samsung S4 Insurance which covers loss, theft and water damage and consumers will receive a replacement device in 24 hours. For more information, visit
