“Sleek. Sharp. And definitely smart.”
This is what smart phone fanatics are calling the new HTC One phone soon to be released in the US. After much brouhaha on the delay of the release (company says they had a shortage of camera), the 32GB HTC One will hit AT&T and Sprint Nextel stores on April 19 for $199.99 with a two-year contract. The 64GB version, meanwhile, appears to be exclusive to AT&T and will retail for $299.99 with a two-year contract.
So why all the fuzz with this phone? Some pundits hail it as the best Android phone ever. Check out these amazing HTC One features:
- HTC BlinkFeed™. Stay up to date with the latest news or trending topic in Twitter with the BlinkFeed. This feature streams content from your favorite social networks and news sites in your home page without you having to push a single button.
- HTC ZOE™. Undeniably the most innovative feature of the HTC One, ZOE allows you capture 20 photos with a single press of the new 4-megapixel HTC UltraPixel Camera. You can turn these high-resolution images into a 3-second video by adding music themes and effects. And they’re easily shareable too! By using the HTC ZOE Share feature, you can upload your videos to YouTube, Facebook, or other sites.
- HTC BoomSound™. Fond of watching music videos and movies in your smart phone? Then you’ll love the BoomSound feature. It delivers clear, high quality audio with its dual front-facing stereo speakers. You’ll have no reason to bring a headset with you.
Beyond these features, HTC One is touted as the “best constructed smartphone” by Matthew Miller of ZDNet. This all-metal phone weighs next to nothing at 143 grams and will fit your hands perfectly with its 137.4 x 68.2 x 9.3 mm dimensions. The 4.7 Super LCD 3 screen is also a thing of beauty as it allows you to use your phone outside — in direct sunlight — with ease.
